Pražská bytová krize

Over the past year, Prague has become the city with the most unaffordable housing in Europe. Despite a modest increase in the number of apartments built or innovative new city policies, housing prices have risen by more than 50% over the past five years, while average wages have risen by only 21%. A new comprehensive analysis by Arnika shows that the problem will not be solved by promoting development alone, as is often claimed. More complex public administration interventions and support for other types of construction and housing are needed. More info here.
